About DPF 2019: Palo Alto
The Dasra Philanthropy Forum is a learning platform that inspires the global donor community to convene together on how to take meaningful action on some of India’s most complex and urgent social challenges. The forum is also a unique opportunity to showcase diverse and innovative models for social change in India — from nonprofit-led solutions at the community-level, to multi-stakeholders collaborating with the government—to a wider global community that could apply these approaches to other contexts. The fifth Dasra Philanthropy Forum in the US will build upon the success of four previous forums to nurture a movement for strategic philanthropy to India. The 2019 Dasra Philanthropy Forum will focus on the broad theme of Global Giving to India. These gatherings each convened approximately 100 philanthropists, including leading philanthropists such as Desh Deshpande, Romesh Wadhwani, Vijay and Marie Goradia, and prominent leaders such as Darren Walker of the Ford Foundation, Peggy Dulany of Synergos and Matt Bannick of Omidyar Network.
