#BuildBetter with Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Evidently, the entire world is emerging from the pandemic. Yet it is the most vulnerable populations, defined by their gender, caste, class, ethnicity, and other identities, who are facing even greater challenges due to prevailing systems of oppression and inequalities.
As India is emerging from the pandemic, paradigm shifts are required to address the exacerbated needs and wider inequalities. We make the case for India because of its strength in numbers, mature ecosystem, and complexity. While affecting change here is a harbinger for step change impact - the ecosystem is also ready to build scalable solutions that can be replicated across the globe.
Let's begin by looking at solutions with Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI) lens. Let's build better. Such an approach will drive transformational outcomes, build solidarity with communities, and serve those at last mile. The international philanthropy community can play a significant role in nurturing and funding solutions that are collaborative, fundamentally inclusive, representative, and equitable.
