Kavita Wankhade

Kavita Wankhade is Team Leader for Tamil Nadu Urban Sanitation Support Programme (TNUSSP) – that is providing support to the Govt. of Tamil Nadu’s rollout of a state-wide urban sanitation program. Kavita’s work cuts across research, teaching, consulting and policy analysis. Her areas of expertise include environmental services and urban sustainability. Her work has involved serious engagement with various state governments in India, multi-lateral institutions, as well a stint in the UK public sector. Previously, she led the International Curriculum Development Programme at IIHS, and co-led a full time post-graduate diploma programme. Kavita currently works as a Senior Practice Lead at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements, a prospective national university focussing on urban issues.
